New Year’s holidays are left behind, which means that it’s time to take care of yourself. Sports activities have a positive effect on the body at any time of the year: strengthening muscles, developing coordination, enhanced oxygen saturation of the brain, adrenaline, dopamine and endorphin production (hormones that are responsible for a good mood and help keep the body in good shape). The most important plus of winter sports is the ability to combine physical activity with hardening.
So, for example, skiing and skating takes place in the fresh air at sub-zero temperatures. The constant effect of cold on the body under conditions of sufficient physical activity helps to strengthen immunity and increase the overall protective forces of the body.
There are many factors that prevent one from starting to actively engage in sports: lack of motivation, money, mood, strength. Thousands of articles have been written on how to deal with such difficulties. At the same time, strangely enough, such a serious obstacle to active sports as poor eyesight remains without attention.
Obviously, it is much more effective and safer to play sports with clear vision. However, vision is necessary not only for sports, but, first of all, in everyday life. That is why it is necessary to pay special attention to eye health, check vision regularly and, if necessary, correct it by 100% with glasses or contact lenses.
Timely diagnosis can prevent many eye diseases or stop them in the early stages. In addition, during an eye examination, an ophthalmologist can tell a lot about the condition of the body as a whole and determine the first signs of diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
When choosing a method of vision correction, it is important to consider that during sports, contact lenses are much more convenient than glasses. They provide better peripheral vision and do not limit the field of view, as they are not rimmed, cannot fog up, and can be worn under goggles, a mask or a helmet. Contact lenses cannot slip, fall, or shatter during the next exercise.
Moreover, there are sports in which contact lenses are indispensable. So, during the run there is a multiple repetition of reciprocating movements, that is, up and down movements. If you wear glasses for a run, then most likely they will have to be constantly adjusted on the nose.
Sports such as tennis or badminton, like any other ball games, require a 360 ° view. Unlike glasses that limit peripheral (lateral) vision, contact lenses allow you to keep the situation under control. This property will be useful in extreme sports.
Poor vision should not affect physical activity. A correctly selected correction method will help not only enjoy playing sports, but also improve results.
Exercise has a positive effect on the work of all vital organs, as well as improve brain activity and slow down the aging process.
